Regional Group - North Moravia
This regional group is one of the largest regional groups of the CNDT. It already has 42 paying members renewing their collective and individual memberships in 2022. In its workload, our regional group enables its members to learn about the latest non-destructive techniques and applications in the form of Workshops and professional tours to domestic and international exhibitions and seminars. Our RS's flagship event is the NDT Workshop in Hukvaldy in 2022.
There is also a close cooperation with the University of Technology, where some RS members are involved in equipping the workplaces with technology and methodology for processing test tasks. This is especially true in education on acoustic emission and its industrial application in metallurgical enterprises in our region. The members of our regional group are active lecturers, test commissioners, and organizers in the NDT educational process, both in the official training and testing centre within TÜV Nord Czech and the Czech Welding Institute. Active participation is also in NDT standardization, where our member, Ing. Bernard Kopec, has an important position within the standardization and accreditation activities. In the framework of NDT awareness, we also cooperate with secondary schools, providing professional lectures or excursions within the requirements.
Since all fields of non-destructive testing are represented in our group, we can offer NDT equipment and related service and calibration services to the industrial enterprises in our region, or we can identify suitable companies for the implementation of tests.
The active work of our regional group has its roots in the needs of the formerly highly developed heavy industry in North Moravia, which has been partly transformed into a light industry, where changes have also been made in the areas of non-destructive testing and personnel expertise. So far, we have managed to keep up with this trend and adapt our activities to the industry's needs in the non-destructive testing field.
